Institute for Success Planning Community of Practice
Summer Workshop (July-19-21)
EdRedesign’s Institute for Success Planning, housed at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, leads a professional Community of Practice to assist districts, schools, and community-based organizations in creating and implementing a personalized, relationship-based approach and/or scaling an initiative already underway. The Institute is currently supporting 16 communities from across the country. In July, the Institute is hosting a multi-day Summer Workshop at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, MA.

TECHNOLOGY
During the workshop, each team will be completing an electronic workbook, saved in each team’s Individual Community folder (see Community Goals & Data subfolder; file will be added to folder closer to the workshop). Please plan to have at least one member of your team bring a laptop in order to access and complete the file.

For those guests traveling out of town, you will have received a hotel confirmation with the hotel location and the process for checking in.
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING
For guests staying at the Freepoint Hotel, there is a complimentary shuttle service that will bring folks to and from campus each day. The shuttle will depart from the hotel at 8:15am each morning. The Shuttle Schedule will also be given to you upon check-in and will be displayed on a board in the hotel lobby. The Freepoint is an easy 30-minute walk from campus for those who would prefer to walk or miss the shuttle.
For participants driving to and from Cambridge each day for the event, validated parking is available at University Place Garage, 45 University Road. The garage is a 5-minute walk to the event location. Please see a member of the EdRedesign staff to obtain a validation ticket before you return to your car at the end of the day. We regret that we are unable to reimburse out-of-pocket costs. In order to have your parking covered, you must use the validation ticket.
Please be aware of the following process for the validated onsite parking:
- You will get a regular white parking ticket when you enter the garage to park in the morning.
- When you arrive for Registration at Gutman Library, request 3 parking vouchers for Wednesday, July 19, Thursday, July 20, and Friday, July 21.
- When you leave the garage at the end of each day, you insert the white regular ticket and then insert the colored parking voucher. If you have any difficulty using the parking voucher, please find a parking attendant to help you. All the vouchers have been pre-paid and will cover your full parking cost.
