The Education Redesign Lab is advancing a new vision for education—one that directly addresses the most conspicuous shortcoming of traditional school reform: the failure to break the iron-law correlation between socio-economic status and education outcomes. EdRedesign calls for a comprehensive system of supports and opportunities that begin at early childhood and continue through to higher education and/or career training. To advance this new vision we focus on three core strategies: Research, Field Work, Movement Building.
Study, document, and disseminate best practices for building new systems.
The Lab partners with communities to implement innovative education models.
Advance a new paradigm for U.S. public education through coalition building and policy change.
