This first session in the 2024-2025 Institute for Success Planning Virtual Learning Series focuses on grounding family engagement strategies in an evidence-based framework to help guide school and community leaders in identifying effective approaches for supporting success for all. The session features HGSE Professor of Practice Karen Mapp who presents the Dual Capacity-Building Framework for Family-School Partnerships, which has positively impacted policy and practice in the field. The framework can be applied in a wide array of settings, including schools, community-based organizations, and other agencies. Dr. Mapp also shares share learnings from the book “Everyone Wins: The Evidence for Family-School Partnerships and Implications for Practice,” an easy-to-use guide in which she and a Harvard-based team use the latest research to help teachers, administrators, and FACE coordinators design and implement programs wisely and with confidence that all students will benefit.
