Surabhi Malhotra

Surabhi Malhotra is a recent graduate of The Fletcher School at Tufts University, where she focused on child rights, education, and the intersections of climate justice and social equity. Before Fletcher, she spent eight years in India’s social impact sector, leading high-impact programs at organizations like Pratham and Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC), reaching thousands of children and families across the country. Her work has centered on strengthening education systems, advancing educational equity, amplifying youth agency, and engaging communities in civic action.
Driven by a deep belief in the power of systems change, Surabhi recently designed a new framework and theory of change for ensuring a happy and holistic childhood for children in street situations in Delhi. She is especially passionate about using cross-sector collaboration, ethical technology, and child participation to reimagine how societies care for their most vulnerable.
Outside of work, Surabhi is a creative at heart. A summer soul who loves Bollywood music, desi beats, and long conversations, she is always up for discovering new cultures, playlists, and people. Originally from India and now living abroad for the first time, she’s embracing every new experience with curiosity, warmth, and an ever-expanding playlist.
