Samir Nathwani

Samir Nathwani is a nonprofit management intern at EdRedesign. He is a CPA and an accounting and finance instructor with the School of Management at Langara College in Vancouver, British Columbia. Before Langara College, Samir worked in several financial management roles in Canada, the United States and Brazil, primarily focused on the mineral resources and oil and gas industries and began his career with Ernst & Young in assurance and advisory business services.

At the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Samir is a student in the first cohort of the Online Education Leadership program, with a focus on higher education. Samir's focus in on increasing postsecondary access and support to first-generation and marginalized communities. One of his current projects is to convert his late brother's business, the Get Fred School of Real Estate, to a non-profit organization that will provide scholarships and mentorship to college students.
