Judith Allen

Dr. Judith Allen is the Chief Operating Officer & Clinical Director of Communities In Schools (CIS) of Chicago. In her role, she leads organizational business functions and direct service programming within the Chicago Public School system partnership. Judith was formerly CEO of CIS Dallas Texas, where she began her CIS career in 2004. Prior to Dallas she was in New York City, beginning her career in law enforcement’s mental hygiene units serving untreated adults with active criminal offenses/warrants. She later shifted her work “upriver” to be more proactive, by working in child protection/reunification units in East NY, Brooklyn. She holds a doctorate in psychology from New York University, with extensive background and practice in clinical risk factors in child development, crisis de-escalation and serving volatile, marginalized environments. In her personal life, this mother of one enjoys bass guitar, is a master scuba diver and accomplished mountaineer.
