David Gonzalez
David Gonzalez is a research assistant at EdRedesign and a Junior at Harvard College double concentrating in Psychology and Economics. He was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and is the son of two public school teachers. Being raised by educators meant David got an unique inside perspective from his parents about the shortcomings of education. Although he is unsure about what he wants to do in the future, he has always had a soft spot for equitable access to a quality education and opportunities beyond the classroom, which is what motivated him to work at EdRedesign. He is undertaking his own research project on guaranteed income and how policy can be used to improve life outcomes for children who are affected by racism and poverty. For fun, David enjoys exploring Boston with friends, going to the gym, Latin dancing, and partaking in numerous outdoor activities.
