Christopher Hosman

Chris Hosman serves as the By All Means Community Lead for the City of Somerville, Massachusetts. He is also the Director of the SomerPromise Department for the City which is designed to support the overall well-being of children and youth by connecting, aligning, and mobilizing community partners and resources to ensure every child in Somerville has the opportunity to thrive, from cradle to career.

Prior to serving as Director of SomerPromise, Chris has lived and worked with children and families in Somerville for the past 21 years. First as an after-school teacher, then as an administrator in Head Start where he discovered his passion for coordinating comprehensive wraparound supports to ensure family and student success. His most recent role was as Community Services Manager for the City tasked with overseeing the Mayor’s Summer Jobs Program, Community Volunteer Coordination and supporting the Somerville Commission for Women. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
