Chris Shelton
Chris Shelton's career began as a defense attorney at Bryan Cave, LLP before she discovered her true calling in education. Shelton transitioned and began working as a middle school mathematics teacher with Teach for America in St. Louis, Missouri. She spent a decade at her Teach for America placement school relentlessly fighting to ensure that urban scholars receive a quality and equitable education. After leaving her placement school, Shelton was awarded the Zuckerman Fellowship from the Center for Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School. She is currently in the third year of the Doctor of Education Leadership program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Shelton also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Saint Louis University, a Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law, and a master’s degree in Education Leadership, Organizations, and Entrepreneurship from Harvard.
