Chassity K. Coston is a Wendy D. Puriefoy Cross-Sector Leadership Fellow at EdRedesign and a Doctor of Education Leadership candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Also at Harvard, Chassity serves as a Teaching Fellow and mentor for aspiring teachers with the Teaching & Teacher Leadership program, where she cultivates equity-minded educators and strengthens instructional practices.

As a former teacher and principal across North Carolina and Massachusetts, and internationally in Mongolia and Kuwait, Chassity’s leadership has been recognized for advancing racial and social justice, student wellness, and academic excellence. Chassity is the founder of TBP, LLC, an education consulting firm that mentors emerging leaders and supports system-level teams in using data to drive continuous improvement.

Chassity earned her bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education from North Carolina Central University (NCCU), and her master’s in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a Virginia Carter Gobbell Fellow. She holds a Massachusetts Superintendent’s License and is a recipient of NCCU’s Forty Under Forty Alumni Award. Chassity is also a proud and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and, along with sisterhood, she seeks to uplift its pillars of scholarship and service in all she does.
