Benjamin (“Benny”) Goldman is a post-doctoral associate at Cornell University’s Brooks School of Public Policy. Goldman’s research is in labor and public economics, with a focus on race- and class-based economic disparities in the US. He studies the sources of these disparities and evaluates policies designed to alleviate them. He is a faculty member at the Brooks School and the Department of Economics. Goldman is a research affiliate at Opportunity Insights and EdRedesign, both based at Harvard University, as well as the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities at the University of Notre Dame. Goldman was formerly a Linda G. Hammett Ory fellow at EdRedesign. He received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from Harvard University and his B.A. in Economics and Applied Math from Macalester College.
