Vanessa Romo is a Master in Education Policy and Analysis candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her interests include educational equity, cross-sector collaboration, school-family-community partnerships, and improving educational opportunities for students of color and low-income students. Prior to her graduate studies, Vanessa coordinated the alumni network at LA’s BEST Afterschool Enrichment Program in her hometown, Los Angeles, California. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Government from Claremont McKenna College. For her undergraduate thesis, she researched the impact of charter schools versus traditional public schools on Latinx academic achievement in Los Angeles Unified School District.
