Joy Gitter, an Ed.M. candidate in Education Policy and Analysis at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, is interested in the intersection of education policy and research and increasing educational equity through policy. Her most recent role included leveraging secondary research, data analysis, and qualitative research to provide actionable insights to school districts and state education agencies. Her research experience spans challenges and opportunities across the K-12 sector, including instruction and learning, equity, school staffing and leadership, student services and support, and district operations. Joy is a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she studied sociology, public policy, and education.
