Claire Reid is a first year Master in Public Policy (MPP) candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Originally from Maine, Claire received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Notre Dame. While at Notre Dame, Claire was actively involved in the College Mentors for Kids program, which aimed to expose local underprivileged elementary school students to the benefits of higher education. She also wrote her undergraduate thesis on the impacts of extracurricular participation fees on the extracurricular participation rates of students across the United States. Claire’s interests include closing the opportunity gap and alleviating economic inequality through education-related interventions.
