Our second convening of the By All Means Consortium this academic year will examine the innovative ways that cross-sector collaboration can be leveraged to support children and families during the COVID-19 pandemic and similar crises with a focus on early childhood issues, in particular.

Discussion topics will include the effects of trauma on children and youth, community responses using Children’s Cabinets, philanthropy’s role in addressing community needs, and supporting children in low-resourced environments, among others.

Our keynote speaker will be Jack Shonkoff, Julius B. Richmond FAMRI Professor of Child Health and Development at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Director of the university-wide Center on the Developing Child at Harvard.

The event will be held virtually with over 150 participants from across the country, including mayors, superintendents, and other civic and educational leaders.
