Federal Budget Implications on Programs Impacting Children and Youth – March 2018

The Lab is pleased that the federal omnibus spending bill passed on March 23 increased funding for many of the programs we rely on to support children in our By All Means communities. These increases include funding for Community Health Centers, Maternal and Child Health, CHIP, Child Care Development Block Grants (CCDBG), the 21st Century Community Learning Center afterschool grant program, Promise Neighborhoods, Community Schools, Title I, and the Student Support and Academic Enrichment Grant program that support states to provide students with access to a well-rounded education and improve school conditions for student learning.
